D14 and the album “Turn Up Ivoire Vol.1” arrive in America
In the times we live in, thanks to the accessibility offered by the Internet, it is now possible to discover new talents, such as the artist from Adzopé in Ivory Coast, D14, his real name Dodji Hozalihouri Jean Marcel Eric, has established himself as one of the leading figures in Ivorian rap. Rapper, sound engineer and sneaker enthusiast, which earned him the nickname Mr. Nike among Ivorian youth. His unique style, a cross between rap, Afro and trap, earned him the nickname Dieu des flows.
A rich journey and constant evolution
D14 began his career in 2015, revealed by the famous Shado Chris, with whom he co-composed notable hits such as Chaleur, Membalescouilles and Kitadi between 2017 and 2019. His raspy voice and stage energy quickly won over the Ivorian public. After moving to Rennes to resume his studies, D14 continues to feed its community in Ivory Coast while opening up to the French scene.
In 2019, D14 releases the mixtape Elles, a 10-track project that showcases Ivorian youth through universal themes and catchy rhythms. The single Gros bolide establishes itself as a must-have in his discography. Three years later, he unveils Bleu, an introspective EP where he shares his experience as an expatriate in France, addressing solitude, determination and the challenges of exile, with the flagship single C’est lui.

In 2024, he won the Tremplin Renault Give Me Five for the city of Rennes, national recognition which confirms its talent and potential.
In April 2025, D14 marks its big comeback with Turn Up Ivoire Vol.1, a project that asserts its musical identity. This first volume, conceived as the beginning of a series, is distinguished by a bold fusion of US beats, Ivorian flow, and Afro sounds. The atmosphere is vibrant, the rhythms dynamic, and the lyrics accessible, reflecting both its roots and its international influences.
The project is enriched by prestigious collaborations with major figures of Ivorian rap, such as Didi B, Kadja, Mr. Behi and Suspect 95. Among the flagship titles, Azalakiman (with Suspect 95 and Kadja) denounces the hypocrisy of social relations through a surprising beat and a dynamic clip. For its part, Méchant (with Didi B) is a festive anthem that illustrates the energy and creativity of D14.
An immediate success
The launch of Turn Up Ivoire Vol.1 is a real success: the EP goes straight to the 3rd place in the Apple Music Côte d'Ivoire top albums in less than 24 hours. He also benefits from a spotlight on the cover of the Afro Rap playlist on Spotify, which gives him exceptional visibility among the Afro-urban audience.

He aims to make Ivorian rap shine on a global scale, while remaining deeply attached to his origins and his original audience. His music, at once accessible, festive, and authentic, is winning over an ever-growing audience, thus consolidating his position as an accomplished artist.
It would not be surprising if, in order to establish itself in the demanding French-speaking market in America, D14 collaborates on stage with rappers such as Kella or even Andy S.
