A few months after the release of Kingmaker, a project that marked his recording comeback after more than a decade, Xzibit continues to stay proactive with History. Magazine Hip-Hop had already highlighted this new phase of his career; this video now further supports the spotlight on an album that places the California rapper back at the forefront.

The eighth track of the project, History follows a reflective and forward-moving approach. The song revisits the artist’s journey, active since the late ’90s, between recognition in West Coast rap and media presence, notably through the television show Pimp My Ride.

With Kingmaker, Xzibit follows up Napalm and brings together several generations of artists. The project includes collaborations with Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Redman, Busta Rhymes, B-Real, Royce da 5’9″, Ty Dolla $ign, Domo Genesis and Guapdad 4000. This lineup blends established figures with newer artists, reinforcing the album’s intergenerational direction.

A recognized figure in American rap, Xzibit established himself over the years through his collaborations with Eminem and Snoop Dogg, as well as his long-standing association with the California scene. The release of Kingmaker, distributed through the label launched by Conor McGregor, marks a new step in his artistic journey, with a return focused on music after several years divided between film and television.

Xzibit therefore continues to build on the momentum surrounding the album and confirms his intention to remain active. X extends the project’s visibility while underscoring the longevity of an artist still active after more than twenty-five years in the game.

This new video confirms the peak form of an artist who, after 25 years of career and legendary collaborations with Eminem and Snoop Dogg, proves he still has a lot to say.
