VÖDOO presented his first album accompanied by a short animated film

Five years of work. That’s how long it took for Vödoo to bring PCV to life. His debut album has been available since June 18, 2026. To mark this major milestone in his career, the MC went all in, releasing a brand-new music video alongside a ten-minute short film titled Vödoo: La Story. Two complementary formats that retrace his journey while following the same narrative thread.

Vödoo didn’t stop with the album. He also released Vödoo: La Story, a ten-minute short film inspired by real events and directed by Sandy of Bwatacréa. The project took four months to complete. The film tells the story of his journey, blending personal, artistic, and spiritual experiences into a powerful account of his path.

What makes the project stand out is that he used artificial intelligence to create some of the film’s visuals. For him, it’s a way to bring cultures closer together and breathe life into meaningful projects, rather than using AI as a simple visual gimmick. The cast also features many of the artists who appear on the album: Imhotep, Daddy Lord C, Kohndo, Maj Trafyk, Kyo Itachi, Inuo, under the banners of Kika Prod and Vödoomusic.

Five years for a debut album, and it shows. PCV is anything but a rushed project, and the short film extends its vision through powerful visuals.

The tracklist of his first album

The album features twelve tracks, designed as a true musical journey. It opens with Intro, featuring a guitar solo performed by Lorenzo·S, and closes with Bossa Catalana, featuring Tom Darnal, Mano Negra, and Tekameli. Between those two tracks are Le Haut Niveau featuring Daddy Lord C and DJ Mastermike, Répondeur and Répondeur 2, 360 Degrés featuring Tupan, Heroes 1804, a tribute to Stéphane Zadire, and the remix of Le Temps N’Existe Pas featuring Imhotep. Kyo Itachi, Maj Trafyk, and Inuo produced several of the album’s tracks.

The influence of 1990s Hip-Hop is unmistakable throughout the project. In the acknowledgments, Vödoo dedicates the album to Stéphane and the General, closing with the words Vödoo is love.

Two names stand out among the featured artists: Daddy Lord C from La Cliqua and Imhotep from the legendary group IAM. They are far more than guest appearances added for the album cover—they are two artists who genuinely supported him throughout the project.

Although this is his debut album, Vödoo already demonstrates a highly professional approach and remarkable humility. All signs suggest that he will be involved in many more projects in the years ahead. In the meantime, PCV is available on Bandcamp through Vödoomusic.
