Magazine Hip-Hop acquires the Institute of Hip-Hop
The public notice was published today in the newspaper Le Devoir.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Montréal (Quebec, Canada) – This public acquisition is part of the continuation of work initiated several years ago through various editorial projects, including Ukase Média (2012) and Nation Hip-Hop (2023), which have now come to an end in favor of a single, sustainable structure.
This is why no publication has been released in recent months.
Reading this article in its entirety is necessary to fully understand the scope of what is being put in place, without any pretension.
Why is this becoming new today, and not before?
Administrative transition and new structure
After more than three years of activities under the name of the Institute of Hip-Hop, a non-profit organization, the organization filed a request for administrative dissolution.
As the public notice has been published today in the newspaper Le Devoir, the acquisition and legal transfer of activities between the Institute of Hip-Hop and Le Magazine Hip-Hop inc. take effect today.

This acquisition is part of a reorganization that has made it possible to group all projects, platforms and initiatives within a single financially viable entity.
All activities are now carried out by the company Le Magazine Hip-Hop inc., officially established on November 26, 2025.
