Twixxy and El Chueko DeCalifornia challenge the haters
The music video " The path for the haters " of Twixxy and ofEl Chueko DeCalifornia is a celebration of Chicana and lowrider culture. Directed by the Ortega brothers, the music video features the artist alongside several " peasants » (female clowns) in an urban setting in Pasadena, California.
The main theme is the affirmation of Mexican-American identity and pride in family roots, as mentioned by Twixxy " I get it from my momma all the way in Mexico!"
Visually, the video is dominated by the imposing presence of a 1965 Chevrolet Impala, an iconic model of lowrider culture. This classic car, provided by Pasadena Classic Cars, serves as a backdrop to the action and symbolizes the distinctive aesthetic of the Chicana scene.
The performance of the payasas MamiSol, Carmen, Priscila and Twixxy!, made up by Cindy and Abi, add a touch of color and exuberance typical of Latin American celebrations.
