Random makes a strong comeback with his new video “Couleurs”
Random remains one of the most respected figures in Quebec street rap.
Random is back with Couleurs, a new visual that shows he hasn’t lost his instinct or his creative direction. A former key member of 5sang14, alongside Lost, White-B, MB and Capitaine Gaza, the Montréal rapper has been pursuing his solo path since officially leaving the group in 2023. And this new single shows he’s moving with purpose.
Over a production by Beats by Risk, Random adopts a laid-back yet sharp tone, true to what we find in his landmark projects Vicious circle 2 (2017) and Dead silence (2018). The track remains focused on what he does best: direct, grounded rap, delivered without mincing words.
The recording and mixing took place at Toosik Studio, giving the song a clean, dense, and cohesive sound. Visually, Ziad Production delivers a simple yet effective video, perfectly suited to the dark and introspective world that has defined Random since his beginnings.
Distributed by Believe Canada / MeloRecords, Colors serves has a reminder why Random remains one of the most respected figures in Quebec street rap.
A solid comeback that suggests more tracks may follow.
