Ye (Kanye West) finally arrives on the platforms with ''Donda 2''
It's a moment fans have been waiting for since February 2022: Ye (formerly Kanye West) has finally made his album available Donda 2 on the main streaming platforms.
A project long exclusive to Stem Player
originally released in February 2022, Donda 2 was until now only available on the Stem Player, the audio player developed by Ye himself. A strategy that had divided fans, many lamenting the absence of traditional platforms.
The album is now available on YouTube Music and Spotify, with output on Apple Music planned soon.
18 titles and luxury featurings
With 18 titles, Donda 2 brings together a host of artists:
- Future (executive producer of the album)
- Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Don Toliver
- XXXTENTACION (posthume)
- Migos, Jack Harlow, Baby Keem
- Fivio Foreign & Alicia Keys on "City of Gods" (older single)
The cover, unchanged, remains the one representing Ye's childhood home burned down, a strong image that had marked the minds during the first hearing organized in Miami in 2022.
An unfinished album, finally finished?
At its first presentation, several titles of Donda 2 were still under construction. Some, such as 530, were finally reworked and included in this streaming version.
Another notable detail: the song "Sci-Fi" keeps the extract of the Kim Kardashian’s monologue on SNL (2021) where she stated: “I married the best rapper of all time… and he’s the richest African-American.”
Over the last few months Ye has made numerous masked appearances, notably during a live-stream organized the day before the release with influencers such as Digital Nas and Sneako.
Despite recent media controversies related to its controversial speeches, Ye remains a musical giant, as reflected in the release of Bully (visual edition) last March.
🎧 Donda 2 is now available for streaming on Spotify.
