Fresh, a revelation of French-speaking rap in recent years, unveils his latest single Évidemment, in collaboration with Bolemvn.

Who is the rapper Fresh?

Fresh aka Fresh la Peufra, his real name Julien Aberi Moska, is a Belgian rapper born on January 15, 1997 in Liège, Belgium, into a family originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He grew up in the Ans district of Liège and started rapping at the age of 15, after being influenced by American artists such as 50 Cent and Drake, as well as by Hip-Hop and streetwear culture.

He first became known locally by joining the collective Iceberg Click before gaining notoriety in 2022 by winning the first edition of Nouvelle École, the French-language adaptation of the show Rhythm + Flow broadcast on Netflix. His remarkable performance and his victory, won in front of a jury composed of Niska, Shay and SCH, earned him the release of the single Chop, which quickly became a diamond single, dominating the Spotify and YouTube charts upon its release.

Fresh was able to capitalize on this success by chaining certifications and releasing, in the process, his first EP album entitled À l’abri, which served as a calling card to showcase his style and his journey to the show. His texts, marked by the determination, the work and attachment to the family, bear witness to his experience and his desire to succeed for his family, having no “plan B” according to his words and interviews.

Fresh continues to make its place in the French-speaking rap scene through its authenticity and artistic versatility (oscillating between trap, drill and hardcore rap), and a rapid rise hailed by critics and the public.
