Deca OTA & Hunnid2Hebron join forces on ''Hallelujah''
Deca masters the prod with a precise phrasing, supported by a continuous bass and a sample taken from Sade.
The London rapper Deca OTA, a Grahame Park native from a Nigerian family, opens a new chapter with his single Hallelujah, accompanied by a clip in which he shares the microphone with Hunnid2Hebron. The track announces his project The Human Condition, planned for the December 12 and we'll keep you posted.
With more than 8 million listens and the public respect of solid names like Nemzzz, Blanco and Knucks, Deca continues its ascent without getting caught up in the excesses of its environment. Through his label and collective Free Imprint, his vision is one of autonomy, free creation and the rise of the urban youth who gravitate around him.
Hallelujah lays down a story guided by faith and personal reconstruction. Deca masters the production process with a precise phrasing, supported by a continuous bass and a sample taken from Sade, which lends a special relief to the piece. Hunnid2Hebron responds with the same energy, each sharing their spiritual trajectory and the struggles that have shaped them.
For Deca, inspiration comes directly from Gospel music. He explains that :
Hallelujah marks a transition to a creation more in line with his faith, as he admits to having made darker music in the past.
Hebron, for his part, has come a long way from a complicated past. Together, they recall the story of the prodigal son: two artists who lost their way before finding their way back.
They also emphasize the importance of the Sade, from the title Pearls, which conveyed exactly the emotion they wanted to convey. Once this concept was established, the writing and recording flowed naturally.
Since its beginnings, Deca OTA has made a name for itself with titles like Far From Average, Cincinnati, Countless Nights and Lost In The Stars with Afu. Its collective Free Imprint, led by Rosen and Afu, is moving forward with a clear ambition: to put an end to the industry's fixed models and create a structure that goes beyond music, bringing back something solid for their community.
With Hallelujah, Deca OTA confirms its evolution and imposes its universe even more, ready to extend its impact beyond the UK.
See you on December 12 for the release of The Human Condition.
