Frenchi Blanco presents the visualizer "Contra", produced by GØHN
He has developed a style of his own, rooted in a deliberate reclaiming of the French language.
Frenchi Blanco continues his journey with a new track that follows the steady path he has patiently built at the heart of the Canadian Francophone rap scene.
A respected MC known for his writing and clearly defined identity, he made a name for himself through both solo projects and solid collaborations, including a notable track with Inspectah Deck of the Wu-Tang Clan, featured on his mixtape L’best du French alongside DJ Manifest.
Originally from Quebec, Frenchi Blanco has accumulated more than twenty years of active presence on the Hip-Hop scene. He first made his mark as part of FP Crew, a bilingual group that drew attention in 2005 by taking home four awards at the Gala Montréal Underground.
Since then, he has developed a style of his own, built around a deliberate reclaiming of the French language, carried by raw, direct joual with a touch of humor. His writing draws from everyday speech, enriched with references from Hip-Hop culture, resulting in a vivid and highly personal vocabulary.
Over the years, Frenchi Blanco has shared the stage with several major figures in rap, including KRS-One, Raekwon, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, Jadakiss, Slum Village, Young Buck, and La Fouine, further solidifying his place within the Hip-Hop landscape.
His new track fits squarely within this coherent trajectory, driven by experience, consistency, and a vision that remains true to his roots.
