Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist arrive with “Alfredo 2”

The veteran Freddie Gibbs and the legendary producer The Alchemist are back with Alfredo 2, the long-awaited sequel to their album Alfredo, released in 2020 to critical acclaim. Released on July 25, 2025, this 14-track project builds on the synergy that the duo is known for.

First single and visual teaser

The project was launched with the single 1995, released on July 17, 2025, accompanied by a short film: Alfredo: The Movie, directed by Nick Walker and filmed in Tokyo. In this film, The Alchemist bring back Gibbs secluded in the city after his isolation in the mountains, weaving a film noir-inspired narrative around the album's thematic rhythms.
