For several months, La Fouine is experiencing a true artistic revival. After more than twenty years of career, the rapper from Trappes continues to prove his place in the French rap landscape. April 11, 2025, he positively surprised his fans with the release of the album State of Play. This 17-track project has established itself as one of the rap albums of the year. It features collaborations with Ninho, Nessbeal, Genezio, Wonder and KLN. A strong symbol, this album was released exactly twenty years after his first opus. Bourré au son (2005), thus confirming the longevity of his career.

The public reception was particularly strong. With more than 11,000 copies sold in the first week, La Fouine signs his best solo debut since 2013. The two-part track États des Lieux with Ninho has largely contributed to this success, accumulating several million views on YouTube and occupying a prominent place in French trends. This return has also prepared the ground for another anticipated project: Capitale du Crime Radio vol. 2, announced for September 26, 2025.

It is in this dynamic that La Fouine recently unveiled a new track in collaboration with the group L2B. Titled Flying Blue, this piece has been available since September 12, 2025 and is accompanied by an official music video filmed at Bois Labbé. The artist himself confirmed that:

“This title is the first extract from the next mixtape Capitale du Crime Radio vol. 2. ''

A track record from the start

Flying Blue quickly found its audience. As soon as it was uploaded, the clip climbed into the top 15 of YouTube France trends, confirming the audience's interest. However, the release did not escape criticism: the rapper Doums reacted head-on, attacking La Fouine and questioning the quality of the song. Far from harming its visibility, this clash has on the contrary amplified the buzz around the title, creating a debate on the relevance and artistic evolution of the Trappes artist.

Between the success of State of Play, the freshness of Flying Blue and the waiting around Capitale du Crime Radio vol. 2, La Fouine has established himself as one of the veterans of French rap capable of remaining relevant and appealing to a new generation. As he enters his third decade of career, he once again proves that he knows how to surprise and establish his name in the music scene.
