BigXthaPlug, the successful Texas rapper, and Bailey Zimmerman, the rising country music star, have just released their anticipated collaboration, All The Way. This single marks a first foray of BigXthaPlug in the country genre, with a full project planned for this year. Produced by Charley Cooks and Bandplay, All The Way fuses the intensity of Southern hip-hop with country emotion, creating a unique crossover sound.

The official music video for BigXthaPlug in featuring with Bailey Zimmerman, All The Way, is establishing itself as one of the musical phenomena of early April 2025. Released on April 3, the title has already reached #13 of YouTube music trends with nearly 800,000 views (initial figures), accumulating thousands of enthusiastic comments for this collaboration between the Texan rapper and the emerging country star.

The track explores the tensions of a breakup through a raw and emotional prism.

("don't let me down easy if you go and leave me / baby go and leave me all the way")

The lyrics reveal a paradoxical demand: a rejection without half measures to avoid prolonged suffering. The combination of the flow of BigXthaPlug (“stuck like a drill really feeling for something I can't shake back”) and the rock-tinged country melody of Zimmerman creates viral alchemy.

The minimalist official video focuses on clean visuals to give full scope to the performances of the two artists. This simplicity contrasts with the massive promotional deployment on TikTok, where the 45-second clip shared on February 14 (Valentine's Day) generated a hype organic. The title is in line withAmar (2023), an introspective album where BigXthaPlug channels his tumultuous past (incarceration, early fatherhood) into powerful stories.

Country rap on the rise

There are several fusions of musical genres, including rap/pop, rap/rock, and rap/jazz, among others. However, in recent years, country rap has gained momentum, becoming an increasingly popular trend.

This collaboration illustrates the growing porosity between hip-hop and American roots music. After Texas (his regional hit), BigXthaPlug consolidates its status as an artistic bridge, while Zimmerman, already noted for his raw ballads, confirms his attraction to experimentation. A risky bet that could inspire other style-crossing duos in 2025.

It remains to be seen whether the public will embrace this mix of styles in the long term.
