Aswell has just released his second album, and the South Shore artist is shifting into high gear. Aswell has just dropped his latest video Zendaya, a major collaboration with Lost, an iconic figure from the Montreal collective 5sang14.

An efficient connection between the South Shore and 514

On this new track, Aswell explores the paradoxes of success and the uncertainties that stick when the numbers start climbing. The arrival of Lost brings an interesting contrast: the Cartierville rapper delivers lines that don’t try to outshine the rest, but instead align with Aswell’s approach.

To fully grasp the significance of this collaboration, one must look at the path taken by the two protagonists:

  • Aswell: Hailing from Montreal’s South Shore (Saint-Bruno), he gained recognition through a highly melodic approach. Following the success of his first project, Banlieue, in 2024, he built a loyal audience that connects with his lyrics about coming of age and the ambitions of his generation. His independence is his trademark: he manages every aspect of his career, allowing him to maintain a very precise artistic direction.
  • Lost: A core member of the group 5sang14, he represents the Cartierville neighborhood in Montreal. Known for his flow and strong reputation in Quebec’s street rap, his presence on Zendaya adds extra credibility and an intensity that shakes up Aswell’s more airy style.

The album "Berger" is available now

Scheduled for this Friday, February 27, 2026, this album reinforces Aswell’s approach. Still independent, he steers his project from creation to strategy, honing a style that blends personal lyrics with hooks designed for live performance.

Still working independently, he manages his career from creation to strategy, refining a style that blends personal lyrics and choruses tailored for live performance.

To support this new project, Aswell is going all out, hitting major stages including the legendary MTELUS. Here are the key dates for his provincial tour:

  • March 19, 2026 Cabaret-Théâtre du Vieux-Saint-Jean (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu)
  • April 10, 2026 : MTELUS (Montreal)
  • April 24, 2026 Imperial Bell (Quebec)
  • October 2, 2026 : Zenith Promutuel Insurance (Saint-Eustache)
  • October 15, 2026 : Club Dix30 (Brossard)

Moving from the suburbs to the province’s biggest venues shows that the rapper has reached a new level. With Berger, he firmly establishes himself as one of the active faces of today’s scene.
