The long-awaited album is finally available, marking a significant milestone in the artist's career. Following the release, an official music video accompanies the album, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in both the sound and visual world of this new project.

Starting today, the public is invited to discover the album, the result of several months of creation and collaboration.

French rap is hitting hard at the start of summer 2025

Kofs is not content with a classic discographic return. It establishes an approach of memory, respect and continuity. The album brings together historical figures of French rap, whose names resonate like institutions: Sinik, La Fouine, Kamelancien, Mac Tyer, Dry, Brasco, Le Rat Luciano, Youssoupha, Kayna Samet, Alibi Montana, among others. This casting is not insignificant, each guest embodies an era, a style, a region, a part of the history of French-speaking rap.

Through these collaborations, Kofs creates a bridge between generations, a sort of symbolic gateway between early rap and the sounds of today. It celebrates its influences, without excessive nostalgia, but with a rigor that commands respect. This project acts as a manifesto album, that of an artist aware of his heritage, and eager to ensure its continuity.

“Building” with Sinik: a striking introduction

To accompany the release of the album, Kofs unveiled the clip Bâtiment, in collaboration with Sinik, one of the sharpest pens of French rap of the 2000s. Produced by SlowmProd on a sober and efficient production of Marcelino, the visual features the two artists in an atmosphere worthy of the city.

Bâtiment is not just a convenient feature: it's a meeting of two visions of rap, two generations who share the same honesty in their writing. The title perfectly illustrates the spirit of the album: raw, sincere, and focused on reality.

Mon école (Vol. 1) also stands out for its artistic coherence. Far from being a series of collaborations without a common thread, the album is based on a narrative logic. Kofs It traces his personal journey, the codes he learned, the artists who shaped his writing, his values and his sense of rap. It is a question here of loyalty, struggle, transmission, but also of adaptation to an era where rap is evolving rapidly.

Musically, the project alternates between introspective pieces, structured bangers, and more emotional tracks, always driven by careful production and a strong artistic direction. This isn't an artificial return to roots: it's a contemporary work, nourished by a past embraced.

A response to the memory needs of French-speaking rap

At a time when part of the scene sometimes seems disconnected from its foundations, Mon école (Vol. 1)) acts as a booster shot. Kofs does not seek to lecture; he documents, he bears witness. He reminds us that rap is a school of life, that its history deserves to be respected, transmitted, and extended.

This project is thus part of an essential cultural dynamic: that of living archiving. By placing figures from the past in the present, Kofs invites us to look back not out of regret, but to better understand what we are building today.

The title Vol. 1 leaves no doubt: Kofs sees this series as a start-up project. It is not a grand coup, but a cultural approach, likely to open the way to other volumes, other meetings, other chapters of this invisible but very real school that is French rap.
