Xzibit returns with a new album Kingmaker
Xzibit mentioned that this album marks his return after a decade of intermittent work, highlighting an artistic evolution that finally justifies its release.
The successor of Napalm (2012), the album Kingmaker featuring 20 tracks will be released on May 16. The former host of Pimp My Ride brought together former collaborators such as Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Redman, Busta Rhymes, B-Real (Cypress Hill) and Royce Da 5'9″, as well as new figures such as Ty Dolla $ign, Symba, JasonMartin (ex-Problem), Domo Genesis and Guapdad 4000.
Notable collaborations:
Produced under the label Greenback Records by Conor McGregor (also in partnership with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony), Kingmaker has seen several postponements due to “last minute additions” according to Xzibit.
The main single, Play This At My Funeral, is described by the rapper as a
“mental, physical and emotional snapshot of one's current state, without a direct link to death.”

The album includes the first official collaboration between Xzibit and Ice Cube. Titles like Higher (with Redman and B-Real) And Leave Me Alone (with Dr. Dre) promise to surprise more than one.
Physical versions (numbered CDs) are already on pre-order.
