The relationship between Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Eazy-E remains one of the most memorable in rap history. At a time when the group was desperate to get noticed, the five members from Cleveland took a one-way bus to Los Angeles. Their goal was clear: to provoke a decisive meeting. After numerous calls to the rapper's office, they finally got their chance. Krayzie Bone rapped directly into the phone, and his performance was so impressive Eazy-E that the latter decided to reach out to them.

In 1993, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony is signed on Ruthless Records, the label run by the star of NWA. This contract allowed them to become known throughout the country and to assert their musical identity. The collaboration between the two parties quickly resulted in the release of several notable projects and a true friendship. Unfortunately, fate struck two years later with the sudden death of the MC. Eazy-E, depriving the group of a mentor but leaving behind a legacy that would mark the entire Hip-Hop scene.

“Eazy”: A moving tribute with Lil Eazy-E

September 7 would have marked the famous rapper's 61st birthday Eazy-E. On this occasion, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony chose to pay tribute to him with a new title entitled Eazy. To make this celebration even more symbolic, they invited Lil Eazy-E, the rapper's son, to share this track. The song was released on their YouTube channel and is accompanied by an emotional music video. It features a montage of archival footage and highlights from the career of the man who made their success possible.

In the video description, Bone Thugs explains that:

“This release is more than just a song, it’s a celebration of the man who believed in Bone Thugs-n-Harmony from the start. On September 7th, his birthday, we honor his legacy and remember that 30 years ago, Eazy signed us to Ruthless Records, forever changing the history of Hip-Hop.”
