Hip-Hop International Canada has achieved a remarkable feat for the second consecutive year.

From July 26 to August 2, 2025, Canada set the global Hip-Hop scene ablaze with remarkable performances at the 2025 World Hip-Hop Dance Championships in Phoenix, Arizona.
This year again, our national crews demonstrated that talent and determination are at the heart of Canadian Hip-Hop culture, waving our country's colors high against the best teams in the world. Although this is an underestimated element of Hip-Hop culture, the added value of Hip-Hop International Canada the Canadian division of the famous organization International Hip-Hop.
Canada has written its name in history
GRVMNT won gold in the category Varsity for the very first time, a monumental feat for this studio which has nevertheless been in the shadows for too long.
But that's not all. The First Empire won the supreme title in JV Megacrew, giving Canada its second consecutive gold medal in this division, and this with two different teams.
This is clear proof that Canadian Hip-Hop is booming and building a true dynasty. In addition to these major achievements, seven other Canadian teams have managed to place in the world's Top 15 across various categories:
- Apex (6th) And Lil Rock (12th) in division Varsity

Yet, despite these impressive performances and international reach, these competitions, true crucibles of current Hip-Hop culture, often remain unknown and under-reported. It's time these highlights were brought to light and celebrated as they deserve.
To all Hip-Hop fans, enthusiasts, and stakeholders: your support is crucial. These competitions help to keep our culture alive and evolving, reveal the talents of tomorrow, and assert the voice of Canadian Hip-Hop on the world stage. Support Hip-Hop International Canada, it is encouraging an industry that values a multi-generational culture.
Hip-Hop evolves thanks to its audience. Together, let's ensure that these achievements never again remain in the shadows, but that they occupy the place they deserve: that of recognition, pride, and the future of Hip-Hop culture.
What is striking is the lack of media coverage highlighting these exploits, which seems difficult to imagine for an industry that has nevertheless managed to establish itself in Montreal schools, such as in Rivière-des-Prairies, and particularly at Marc-Aurèle-Fortin Elementary School, where my two children practiced Hip-Hop dance for six years. This school even chose Hip-Hop dance as a specialty, integrated into the Hip-Hop dance component of the government program of the Quebec Ministry of Education.
It is in this context that the action of the organization Hip-Hop International Canada takes on its full meaning and proves to be essential.
