Timal Garnier and WhyUs join forces to “Live in Peace”
The rapper Timal Garnier and the Montreal collective WhyUs have just unveiled an astonishing collaboration: Vivre de Paix. This track, available on all platforms since September 20, 2025, is taken from the album Turquoise – TGT Volume 7 by Timal Garnier.
In a world marked by uncertainties and social tensions, then the title Vivre de Paix says it all. The song stands out for its jazzy/funky energy and its bilingual approach, mixing French and English, which is part of the identity of the members of the group WhyUs.
The group WhyUs, composed of Jon Moniz, Yanis Kacem and Stevie Lachance, once again asserts itself as a raw creative force, without pretension or artifice. The production, recording, arrangement, mixing and mastering of the title were all carried out by Yanis Kacem, member of the group, who confirms his technical and artistic know-how.
WhyUs: the Montreal touch
The group WhyUs is not at its first attempt: their album Sicilian Sauce arrived on March 30, 2025, followed by the single 51st STATE in collaboration with Clermont, released on July 19, 2025.
Praise for WhyUs come from all walks of life, both musical and professional, and even LaVar Ball had only good words for the album Sicilian Sauce.
The visual of Vivre de Paix , captured by MacDrip613, perfectly captures the song's festive and positive energy. Through powerful visuals and dynamic scenes with friends at a BBQ, the simplistic beauty of the video reinforces the song's message.
A vibe to share
In a global context where divisions are multiplying, this collaboration recalls the importance of music as a vector of peace and unity.
Members of WhyUs are not newcomers to the scene. True veterans, they have been making music out of passion for over twenty years. Together, nearly 10 years ago, they founded the band WhyUs and, since last year, they have decided to take their project to another level.
In life, there is a winning formula every time, and as the refrain says so well:
“Live in love, live in peace,” Stevie Lachance of WhyUs.
It's clear they've succeeded. We have to tip our hats to them, because it's not given to everyone to succeed in this challenge. Although each of them has a profession outside of music, which isn't their main means of livelihood, this authenticity and passion are fully felt in their creations.
Live in peace, that's what everyone wants. WhyUs and Timal Garnier show it to us in the most beautiful way, through their music.
