“Quarter Key”, the new gem signed Demrick with Xzibit
For those new to the project, “Quarter Key” is an ideal gateway.
The rapper Demrick returns with an explosive new single, Quarter Key, on which he invites Xzibit, legend of the American West Coast. This piece, taken from his album Ooowee, stands out as one of the most striking passages of the project, carried by direct writing and minimalist production designed to highlight the technique of the two artists.
Xzibit opens hostilities with a flow that we were missing, before Demrick does not come to balance the whole with a more measured, but equally precise performance. Their artistic complicity, already proven in the collective Serial Killers (alongside B-Real), finds here a new, more condensed form.
At the controls, The Undefeated delivers stripped-down instrumentation: dry drums, edgy bass, and a perfectly controlled sound space. This approach leaves plenty of room for rhymes and diction, a choice that allows the voices to stand out. Austin Sexton and Daniel “OT” Marquez also signed the co-production, adding their touch to this balance between the artists.
A key part of the project Ooowee
With Quarter Key, Demrick continues to promote his album Ooowee, each excerpt of which is distinguished by a tight format and a direct approach. Other flagship titles include Fried Chicken Friday in collaboration with B-Real, as well as Tina Turner with KAAN. The whole thing offers a varied panorama of what the artist wants to offer in 2025: precise, energetic and uncompromising rap.
For those who are new to the project, Quarter Key is an ideal entry point. Its short length, sharp writing, and the energy of the collaboration make it an easy track to revisit, whether to savor the vocal performances or to dive into the album's universe Ooowee.
