This recognition, awarded to <strong>Peacock Theater in Los Angeles<\/strong>, does not only pay tribute to the artists&#039; careers <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.magazinehiphop.com\/en\/tag\/andre-3000\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"2442\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Andr\u00e9 3000<\/a><\/strong> and of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.magazinehiphop.com\/en\/tag\/big-boi\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"2441\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Big Boi<\/a><\/strong> : it also symbolizes the legitimate place of Southern rap in the world&#039;s musical heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The duo formed at <strong>Atlanta<\/strong> in the early 1990s, it redefined the contours of American Hip-Hop. By fusing rap, funk, soul, and sonic experimentation, <strong>OutKast<\/strong> they paved the way for a generation of artists who reject labels. Their creativity, artistic vision, and independence made them pioneers of the Southern sound, now recognized as a global benchmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the ceremony, it was <strong>Donald Glover<\/strong>, aka <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.magazinehiphop.com\/en\/tag\/childish-gambino\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"2443\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Childish Gambino<\/a><\/strong>, who delivered the introductory speech. He emphasized the group&#039;s importance in popular culture, recalling that without them, the Atlanta scene and the alternative aesthetic of contemporary rap would never have reached such a level. <strong>Andr\u00e9 3000<\/strong>, true to his humble nature, he thanked the public and the fans for having <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">\"permitted to <strong>OutKast<\/strong> to exist freely, even in moments of misunderstanding.&quot;. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Big Boi<\/strong>, he, for his part, mentioned their famous war cry of <strong>Source Awards 1995<\/strong> : <strong>The South got something to say<\/strong>, a phrase that became a manifesto for the entire Southern scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On stage, <strong>Big Boi<\/strong> interpreted <strong>ATLiens<\/strong> in duet with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.magazinehiphop.com\/en\/tag\/jid\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"1658\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JID<\/a><\/strong>, representing the new generation of Atlanta. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.magazinehiphop.com\/en\/tag\/doja-cat\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"2448\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Doja Cat<\/a><\/strong> paid tribute to <strong>Ms. Jackson<\/strong>, despite a technical problem, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.magazinehiphop.com\/en\/tag\/tyler-the-creator\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"2002\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tyler The Creator<\/a><\/strong> shook the room with a high-energy cover of <strong>BOB (Bombs Over Baghdad)<\/strong>. Together, they recalled that\u2019<strong>OutKast<\/strong> was not just a group, but a school of musical thought that shaped Atlanta&#039;s cultural identity. The <strong>Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame<\/strong> also celebrated another highlight for Hip-Hop culture: the induction of <strong>Salt-N-Pepa<\/strong>, female rap pioneers, honored with the <strong>Musical Influence Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Formed <strong>New York<\/strong> in 1985, the trio composed of <strong>Cheryl \u201cSalt\u201d James<\/strong>, <strong>Sandra \u201cPepa\u201d Denton<\/strong> and <strong>Deidra \u201cDJ Spinderella\u201d Roper<\/strong> opened the way for women in an environment still largely masculine.
