When you see Ransom<\/a><\/strong> and DJ<\/strong> Premier<\/strong><\/a> \u2019s names on a track, you already know it\u2019s serious stuff. No gimmicks, just pure, unadulterated hip-hop. Their new video for Forgiveness<\/em><\/strong>, off their album The Reinvention<\/em><\/strong> released a few weeks ago, is real talk from start to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ransom<\/strong>, is the epitome of lyricism. Every bar, every line, carries weight. And when you combine that with DJ Premier<\/strong>, the undisputed king of boom bap, the one who\u2019s worked with literally everyone in the game, you get a raw, authentic, uncompromising sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visuals are powerful : Ransom<\/strong> facing a priest, in a full-blown confrontation with his conscience, spitting out his verses as if they were a prayer. The image is striking, full of symbolism, and perfectly captures the vibe of the track. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
