The rapper V.I.C<\/a><\/strong>, which we already presented to you on the occasion of its clip Wasteman<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, taken from his EP VARIANT<\/strong><\/em>, returns with a new single titled 40 Doors<\/em><\/strong>. V.I.C<\/strong> shows all the technical mastery of precise flow sound on a beat marked by sharp piano notes and deep bass. 40 Doors<\/em><\/strong> tells the story of the constant struggle against obstacles that a young artist encounters in order to move forward and achieve his ambitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

" 40 Doors<\/em> is a song I wrote about fighting. I wrote it 3 years ago in Southampton with Jojo and kept it for a while because I felt it wasn't the right time to release it yet. But after the release of my last project and seeing the clear appetite for 2000s-style music, I had to go back into the studio with Jojo to strengthen the track before its release. It's all about that feeling when you're trying to achieve a goal but there seem to be so many doors blocking you, whether it's inexperience, gatekeeping, or doubters. It's an ode to carrying on regardless.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The sound of 40 Doors<\/em><\/strong> combines classic American East Coast influences with a raw energy specific to British rap, showing that V.I.C<\/strong> charts his own course without waiting for permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This summer, V.I.C<\/strong> confirmed his presence at the festival Reading & Leeds 2025<\/strong>. He will perform on the stage BBC INTRODUCING<\/strong> with his live band, an important moment for this fast-growing rapper, who is already sharing sets with names like Loyle Carner<\/strong>, Tiana Major9<\/strong> or Kofi Stone<\/strong>.
