On May 30th, Dice-B<\/a><\/strong>, a living monument of Quebec rap and veteran of the Montreal airwaves, made his big comeback with DiceBoogie Vol. 1<\/em><\/strong>. A 7-track project, presented by Crystal Discs<\/strong>, which combines wisdom, charisma and that boom-bap groove that only he knows how to distill. Mature hip-hop that hits hard enough to make the windows of your cousin's Civic rattle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The album opens with Existential<\/em><\/strong>, an introspective piece that asks the big questions \u2014 \u201cWho am I?\u201d style, but with swing. Follows No Mercy yeah<\/em><\/strong>, produced by DJ Boogy<\/a><\/strong>, which is also the first music video from the album. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Man apart<\/em><\/strong>, Dice-B<\/strong> traces his solo path, faithful to his unclassifiable style. Then comes Boombap Nation<\/em><\/strong>, where Dice calls on his brother sunshan<\/a><\/strong> : a true ode to purists. With Drama<\/em><\/strong>, we enter a street film in CinemaScope, punchlines included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The finale is solid: That's how it is<\/em><\/strong> and Chessboard<\/em><\/strong> close the curtain with finesse and strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
