The rapper and producer St-Saoul<\/strong> unveils today Courts m\u00e9trages pour non-voyants<\/em>, his first album in 12 years. This release marks a true comeback for the one and only St-Saoul<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who don't know him yet, St-Saoul<\/strong> is an artist with a unique journey. Little known to the younger generation and often underestimated, he nevertheless had a major influence on the hip-hop scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2004, he released his first album J\u2019aurais voulu \u00eatre un MC<\/em> with his group at the time The Bootleggers <\/strong>and his last album, released 12 years ago, was only distributed in France and was only available via streaming, which contributed to maintaining the mystery surrounding his career on Quebec soil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exploits of St-Saoul<\/strong> are numerous, his song Le Freestyle Hip-Hop Momo<\/em>, with Sheryo<\/strong>, S\u00ebar Lui-M\u00eame<\/strong>, Yoshi<\/strong> and Gaiden<\/strong>, ended up in the film Dheepan<\/strong><\/em> of the renowned filmmaker Jacques Audiard<\/strong> and won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, his album Courts m\u00e9trages pour non-voyants <\/em><\/strong>is intended to be raw, composed of 15 songs for a total duration of almost 39 minutes. St-Saoul<\/strong> surrounded himself with an impressive list of collaborators, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The artist conquers the world<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    From 2012 to 2018, a period marked by memorable rap battles where the power of his lyrics left its mark, whether in Quebec or on the Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es. He managed to establish himself in one of the most challenging music industries: French rap, which is very different from the Quebec scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Beyond the battles, St-Saoul<\/strong> is known for his work in the shadows, never seeking recognition at all costs. Coming from the hip-hop community, he has been able to broaden his horizons thanks to his love of music, collaborating with artists such as Thomas Argouin<\/strong>, Alex Roy<\/strong> and many young rappers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    It also offers writing and beatmaking workshops to educate and introduce young people to hip-hop culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A tour for 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    To celebrate this return, St-Saoul<\/strong> and his team are preparing a tour in Quebec starting this summer<\/strong>, which will continue until 2026. The artist will then cross the Atlantic to meet his audience in France, thus confirming his status as a bridge between the two scenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
