This is the second and final track before the release of his album. <strong><em>Another Vision<\/em><\/strong>, and the energy emanating from it clearly sets the tone: <strong>Rifou<\/strong> is ready to raise the bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The video is intense. No unnecessary sets, no superfluous filters, just <strong>Rifou<\/strong>, his truth and his mission. <strong><em>We Up<\/em><\/strong> resonates like a rallying cry for those who refuse to give in. It's pure rap <strong>Galsen<\/strong>, with that authentic vibe that you recognize from the very first seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Born in Dakar and raised in Kaolack, <strong>Cherifou Younousse Traor\u00e9<\/strong>, aka <strong>Rifou<\/strong>, has lived and breathed Hip-Hop since he was 14. Member of the movement <strong>Y'en a Marre<\/strong>, he has never separated music and activism. His voice is that of the people, the one that disturbs when necessary. And when he raps, you can feel all the lived experience, all the rage channeled into his tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His name, <strong>Rifou<\/strong>, is more than just a nickname: it&#039;s an acronym in Wolof:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abRap-biye Indi Foulaye Ormale Under\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> In other words, rap that commands respect from the underground. A philosophy, not just a slogan. With <em><strong>We Up<\/strong><\/em>, <strong>Rifou<\/strong> sends a clear message: the Senegalese underground is not asleep, it is rising.
