Doria has just released Verbatim (Acoustic Session), a stripped-down reinterpretation of his track, recorded in Nanterre. This version is built around a familiar setup for this type of rendition: piano, voice, and a clear focus on showcasing talent. Production is handled by Kairos, with Camaya allowing doria to shine through his piano touch, and Ameen Beats on sound engineering.
In this acoustic version, Verbatim retains the original structure and lyrics, but the format places the emphasis on delivery and the written word. Social, political, and personal references remain central: the relationship with the State, violence, family heritage, confinement, and collective disillusionment.
For those discovering Doria, the artist is from Nanterre and has been operating independently since her early days. She became known for a dense and direct style of writing, shared through digital releases and filmed performances. Signed to Babywäve and distributed by Empire, she is developing a catalog in which alternative formats (sessions, reworked versions) play an important role in her release strategy.
With Verbatim (Acoustic Session), Doria fits into a logic of artistic variation: offering another reading of the track, refocused on the lyrics and the interpretation.
